You were warned. However, for model years, you can now update SYNC 3 to be compatible with the latest smartphone technology.
There are various versions of the SYNC system depending on the year, model and trim level of the vehicle. For this update to work, it must be the SYNC 3 version. SYNC3 systems look similar to the photo above.
